In
response to numerous inquiries by the public, the City Attorney's Office
has dedicated a page on its web site to Montgomery Field Airport safety
issues related to the
Sunroad Enterprises' Centrum 1 Building near
Montgomery Field Airport
(PDF: 145K)
The
building is located in Kearny Mesa just to the east of State Highway 163
near Clairemont Mesa Boulevard.
On April
24, 2006 the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) sent a warning to the
company that "any height exceeding 160 feet above ground level will
result in a substantial adverse effect and would warrant a Determination
of Hazard to Air Navigation" to pilots flying in and out of Montgomery
Field.
The
documents contained on this web page provide the public with key
information and communication about what transpired after the FAA
warning to Sunroad, as well as efforts by the California Department of
Transportation and the City Attorney's Office to require Sunroad
Enterprises to abide by federal, state, and city laws.
